6 KM Jet Fuel & Diesel Pipeline with Cathodic Protection — Kabul Cantonment

Project Scope & Details

MHN Engineering engineered and installed a 6-kilometre buried fuel transfer network at the Kabul cantonment, carrying both aviation jet fuel and diesel between the receiving terminal and the on-site storage farm. The route was surveyed and trenched across active operational ground, allowing fuel to be moved safely and continuously without disrupting daily base activity.

Every joint on the carbon-steel line was fit-up welded by certified welders and verified before back-filling. The pipeline was wrapped in a three-layer epoxy coating system and tied into a full impressed-current cathodic protection setup, giving the buried steel long-term defence against corrosion in demanding soil conditions.

The delivery package covered underground valve boxes, isolation valves, pressure testing and commissioning, producing a leak-tight, inspection-ready fuel line built to international pipeline standards and handed over fully operational.
